Role Requirements:
Provide compassionate, high-quality care to all patients to ensure their comfort and well-being
Perform a range of nursing duties, phlebotomy, intravenous catheter placements, basic treatments, and intermediate care procedures
Knowledge of common diseases, physical assessments, and monitoring techniques to accurately triage incoming patients
Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications, being mindful of potential side effects
Set up, monitor, and manage IV fluid therapy, including constant rate infusions and blood transfusions
Support for both outpatient and inpatient care, ensuring all patients receive the necessary attention
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of normal vital sign ranges, such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
Recognize patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR as needed
Accurately calculate medical dosages, and administer medications using the correct routes and timing
Perform advanced technical skills, such as nasogastric tube placement, PICC line placement, Triple lumen placement, urinary catheter placement, etc.
Monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation
Work directly with criticalist on complex cases
