POSITION SUMMARY
On-site (customer facility) service. Repairs and maintains electric, diesel and gasoline industrial lift trucks and related material handling equipment while following safety policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates company owned service vehicle from residence or company facility to customer locations.
Troubleshoot customer equipment to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.
Repair gas, diesel, or electrical equipment using mechanic’s hand tools, standard documentation and lifting equipment.
Maintain records of repairs via computer and completes all necessary paperwork associated with the documentation of all service and repairs.
Responsible to ensure that the company service van is properly maintained via company approved suppliers. Also, responsible for service van’s cleanliness and appearance.
Maintains a safe work area and ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. Ensures required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) is in good condition and accessible for the task at hand, including safety glasses, gloves, and shoes.
Maintain parts and tool inventory carried and/or supplied on the company service van.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance efficiently and effectively.
- Follow procedure, policy and safety regulations.
- Drive safely and efficiently from point to point in service area.
- Attain Raymond certifications and demonstrate high degree of technical skill in all phases of the following: electrical knowledge, hydraulic knowledge, mechanical knowledge and general equipment operation theory.
- Manage time to obtain maximum efficiency/productivity.
- Market identified service needs to customers.
- Turn in paperwork timely, accurately, and legibly.
- Complete expense reports accurately and timely.
- Participate in determining needs - training, inventory, tools, etc.
- Promote and maintain a professional image. Neat and clean: self; equipment; service van; and paperwork.
- Communicate in a professional manner
- Show respect to customer, management and all company personnel.
- Participate in company training program, both on and off company time.
- Travel out of town, stay overnight, as required.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and parts on service van.
- Account for 100% of work time.
- Demonstrate good judgment and personal attitude, which are critical in maintaining our company’s reputation for results orientated service, good will and professionalism.
